Leave it to Nike. Actually, quite practical for a sprinter, I guess. Maybe Marion will shave .0000000000000000000000001 seconds from her 100m time.

There's another technology being shopped (adidas has picked it up) that's basically an extra still footplate -- supposedly takes 0.17 off an elite sprinter's 100m time. Sounds a bit overly optimistic, especially considering there ought to be an adidas runner within a quarter of a second of the top Nike runner (Marion and Mo), yet they will probably still get smoked by that much...
