As far as I know, she's out. OC != WC, so I don't see why an exception would carry over.

That's the great thing about track (not so great for richards) that anything can happen. Richards not winning let alone missing the team was a virtual impossibility but I never expected such depth in the womens 400m this year.
At least she has the 200m and a good chance as any to win.
Staying with the subject of surprises , who would have though xavier carter would not make the team for any event. This was last years ncaa 100m and 400m champ and worlds fastest over 200m.
As for Tyson gay, I can't find the words to describe this phenomenal athlete. It seems like Asafa powell may forever be destined to be the bridesmaid (like ottey) who never quite makes it at the big championships.
Powell is not in form and was reportedly injured in kingston and even he has to be 100% to beat a guy who has just run 9.84 and 19.62 into a wind.
Great stuff!! |

Stop press !!!
Bolt 19.75 legal in kingston.
The 200 at osaka will be one i'll be looking forward to despite the absence of dix and the x man. Hopefully we'll see them race each other some time in europe. |

Who's brilliant idea was it to leave the 200m out of the Golden League lineup this year?

You mean the Golden Sprint and Field League
I would have wanted it only if it took the place of the 100...
Lucky for me that the Mile/1500 is such a glamour event _________________ The long run is what puts the tiger in the cat. |

The 200 would be a significantly better choice than the 100 this year.

perhaps although the whole possibility of Gay vs Powell if both round into form by worlds will be fun to see. _________________ The long run is what puts the tiger in the cat. |
