I just wanted to get some coaches' oppinions:
It's getting close to indoor season, and I'm starting my training and thinking ahead to the beginning of the season. I'm starting to map out my splits for my first race so I have a goal in mind, and while doing so, I started worndering how I should approach the race in terms of strategy. I've always been told that the major focus of the race should be between the halfway and three quarter mark of the race (I'm asking specifically refering to the two mile if that plays a role in your answer),and I wanted to get your oppinions/ reactions to this. Thanks for your time.

That sounds reasonable. The first half of any race should always feel relatively easy, but the second half requires more effort to maintain pace. Focusing on that 3rd quarter makes sense, as the finish is a race all in itself and focusing on the whole 2nd half can be daunting.
