I have just crossed the sprint central forum to mention how exciting the shotput final was. You don,t get a lot of drama in this event, but drama there was!!!
Tough luck to adam nelson, being denied the gold for the second time, but thumbs up to his brave performance and competitive ire for livening up this event . He put a new meaning to the phrase "it,s not over till the fat lady sings" or in this case "the fat ukrainian throws".
That's what the sport is all about. |

Having this event at the site of the original Olympics playing field was the coolest thing I have seen yet. It will be hard to top that for shear atmosphere. _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

Agreed but I think they will be topped, by the two Marathons through Athens and finishing at the 1896 stadium...
yeah I know its not field but just for atmosphere and all I think thats going to be awesome - like Bikila finishing along the Appian Way in Rome |
