I haven't lost sight of the original question, I'm just far too confused as to what we're talking about at this point to be able to offer any new advice.
If someone else can make sense of what this test is actually testing, feel free to chime in.

I've tried copying it then right clicking in the space here, but it wont let me paste

i did this test many times in highschool and for training for university basketball. You need to work on short distances . An excellent way to do this is two run in intervals. This means running hard for two minutes then resting 30 seconds etc. Then run hard again. Do not run lots of laps because you are working on the wrong muscles. Along with interval training you need to work on doing some weights. THis will help your speed and strength. Don't panic it is not as hard as it sounds |

Really? what was the best score that you got on it?
Its over now anyway, so there's no rush to improve it. |

The bleep test was part of the school "fitness challenge"
There were 3 parts:
Stamina (bleep test)
Speed (shuttle run)
Strength(how much you can bench press in relation to your own weight)
I got 13I in the bleep which i thing was 3rd best - pretty good.
I got 100kg in the bench press - 40kg over which was tied best
I got 18.0 secs in the speed - ok-ish
my total was 171 out of 180, but some guy got 176 so I only came 2nd. The guy beat me by 0.5 secs on the speed - half a second!!! it will haunt me for the rest of my life
Any other year my total would have won as well!!!!
so - it went well but I was really disappointed not to win, and i came so close. |
