Frank Shorter said once that you don't run up the hill, you run over the hill. He said just try to get up 90% of the hill as relaxed as possible, then charge up the last 10% and another 50 or 100 yards beyond that, and then fall back into your regular race pace. I tried it and it works. Thought I'd pass it along.

when you say "as relaxed as possible" do you mean at your regular pace, or slower?
