Gosh this is going to be a good meet
The men's marathon is totally stacked. Maybe the best field ever for a marathon.
Some of the races off the top of my head that I am excited to see.
Men's 1500 - El G. Vs. Sief - that is going to be great
Women's - looks wide open
5000
Will Szabo run? Will the epo druggie russian run? Runyan sub 15? I think so.
Will the ETH guys sweep? I don't think so. I think Limo will squeeze in there. How is Goucher going to do? Is he ready to go big. He has run well. Hope to see him get a new PR.
Women's 10,000 - Wami vs. Radclif. I hope Drossin gets top 10.
Men's 10,000 will Gebre be able to win after not racing all year. How is Abdi going to do?
Both men's and women's 800 have old vs new guard. |

Regarding Runyan and her rather remarkable consistency in the 5k, I predict she'll either run the exact same time or a huge PR. 15:08 or 14:44, nothing in between.
I'd be surprised if more than one Ethiopian medals in the men's 5k. Championship racing tends to mix things up in even fields, and half a dozen guys within about a second of each other is pretty darn even! Especially considering the likely Ethiopian/Kenyan teamwork/rivalry and how often the 5k seems to result in an upset, I doubt it will go according to form.
