Hi,
I run about 4 days a week, 1/2 hr. to 45 min. I usually have to stop not because of tiring, but because one or the other knee starts to hurt. My shoes are old (I know, I'm just asking for an injury). So I'm in the market for new ones - what type should I get? From reading on the web it sounds like a motion control shoe would help. The Asics Gel Foundations look good. Any suggestions??? thanks!

Two questions:
1) What type of surfaces do you run on? Lots of pavement can lead toward sore knees, especially if running along an angled road always on the same side.
2) Do you have any good running stores in the area? They would be able to tell you if a shoe will work well for you. The problem about giving advice without seeing you in the shoe is that a shoe that offers perfect support for one person might be a terrible match and lead toward injury for another. In my case, I've found that the less motion control a shoe provides, the fewer injuries I tend to have.

Thanks for the info Dan. I'll shop around for a good store.
