You can draw your own run routes or import form GPS data and then share with others. You can also query traffic information and weather information about a certain route. Check this out:

www.gmaps-pedometer.com is another place you do the same thing. It seems to be an inexact science yet. Satellite images yield the best results. As in the case of my driveway, the difference b/w the basic map and the satellite image is .1 of a mile. A considerable distance when plotting your routes for speed!

I use motionbased.com to put my GPS info to a physical map. It's free, but I don't think that you can draw out runs though. Just wondering: how many people use GPSs, and what kind do you use? I use a Garmin Forerunner 301, and it the best one I've had the chance to see. Those 205s and 305s look pretty cool though.

AREA: WeeQuaHic Lake Park in Newark, New Jersey (about 1/4 of a mile from Elizabeth, New Jersey and next door to Irvington, NJ)

Hey, I was right; my friend Sebastian Mojsiejewicz was too wishful: the loop around the football – soccer fields by the parking lots is not a full kilometer, but 950 to 960 meters – it confirms my car—measurements were rather correct.
The difference in distance between our old basketball—court loop and the new ‘jogger’s path’ is nearly exactly 0.125 miles or one 1/8th of a mile. The current measurement of the jogger’s path is 3545 meters or more or 2.203 miles or more. Therefore, our old loop was 2.328 miles long or 3746 meters (3 and ¾ K).
