My prediction for the WC IN SOCCER'2006:
Germany, Poland; England, Paraguay; Argentina, Netherlands; Mexico, Portugal; Italy, United States; Brazil, Australia; France, Switzerland; Spain, and Tunisia.
SECOND ROUND:
1. Germany beats Paraguay
2. Poland beats England
3. Mexico beats Netherlands
4. Argentina overpowers Portugal
5. United States defeats Australia
6. Brazil smashes Italy
7. Tunisia beats France
8. Spain smashes Switzerland
THIRD ROUND:
1. Germany is promoted by FIFA/ref.'s over Argentina
2. Poland beats Mexico in OT
3. USA beats Tunisia
another almost--a--great--success for Africa
4. Brazil beats Spain in penalties
Medal Round:
1. Germany beats Poland
2. USA beats Brazil
THIRD PLACE GAME:
Brazil beats Poland
FINAL
1. USA beats Germany (Germany is in the final; the ref.'s call fouls both ways fo the first time in the WC'2006 in 2006).

S. Korea and Japan, playing not as the host country/countries, will lock the FIFA's or ref.'s support that they enjoyed over three years ago.
Germany is not the same as during the 1980's, but being the host, the FIFA and the ref.'s will make certain that they reach at least the semifinal.
Sweden is overrated, and the American teams, with the exception of Brazil and Argentina, are underrated.
Costa Rica and Ecuador, like most American teams, are at least as good as Poland, but cannot play well against any of the East European national teams because the East European like to play from the counterattack -- when a goally throws in the ball just before the middleline (no offsides), and after a single pass or no passes at all, a goal is scored, some American players try to ask the ref, if this was within the regulations.
Lately, Poland tied Mexico 1:1 in Chicago, and beat the team USA 3:1 in the world championships, but unlike the team US, failed to advance from the group phase.
Czechs are not known for being tough or the fighting spirit; thus, being in the Group of Death, I believe that they will end behind Ghana, in the last place.
Croatian team got either old or too old.
Ukraine will play well, but unless for a help from the ref, will not advance (by the slimmest margin, anyway) because the African teams, such as Tunisia, have nothing to loose, and everything to win. Nota Bene: Tunisians are experienced.
