Exactly like I called it ... Conway finally pipped me, but not because he moved up. I finally fell from my lofty #13 perch, although I was saved greatly by Wanjiru's breakthrough 5k -- first points for him this year and I didn't even see him on the entry list. Actually, I would've only dropped one more spot without him, but that's only because there's a 400 pt gap right in my rearview mirror. I only need 90 points to get back to my coveted #13...

Strange meet score-wise. Lots of 400-500 pt efforts and some huge 1200-1400 pt ones, with not a whole lot in between. Jay, your stay at the top was short lived... You've got 500 points to make up!

Thank goodness for Daniel Komen and whatsername Cherkasova. Without them I would be in terrible shape. Some of those "lesser" names did some scoring in this meet but I still have 8 who haven't scored anything.

Two of the late removals from my roster ... although Komen I never seriously considered. Cherkasova (and Zakari) is killing me, though.

You've still got 2 meets to make up the 500 points, actually. You didn't lose any ground in meet 8 -- amazing with only 325 points -- so you're no worse off than a day ago.

That's just to save horizontal real estate, since the final week tally is redundant with the final score.
