I haven't looked at my group yet, but I'm sure it's top-20 material. Smile

This is really getting exciting, I'm back on top and only one meet left Very Happy My good friend, Sigurbjörn is now up to second place, closing fast just like he does in the 800 meters. It's a bit strange though to see two Icelanders at the top!

I was just looking at the start lists and comparing my teams with some of the the other top guys and I didn't quite like what I saw Sad

The Europeans are putting us NA'ers to shame... Embarassed

I wouldn't worry too much about sparse entries at this point, as much can and probably will change between now and the meet.

and don't forget there are (at least) three Aussies in the top ten!

I'd better bloody move after Berlin. If those start lists stay close to the current lists, I should get 18 starters....

200 JJ
800 Mutua, Yiampoy
1500 Chirchir, East, Songkok
100 Bailey, Lalova, Simpson
400 Amertil
1500 Cioncan, (Y)Egorova,
5000 Abeylegasse, Dibaba, Ejigu
HJ Babakova, Slesarenko, Veneva

18 is a sweet lineup. Thumbs Up

Ok, I checked out the start list and I've got a rather meager bunch:

200: Capel
1500: Estevez
400w: Guevara, Amertil
5000w: Abeylegesse

Ouch. :t-:

Shawn Crawford who lit up the 200m scene last year by running in several meets in addition to the 100m. This year I thought he would improve and run faster in the 200m and he did but he is running far less and is killing me with his sparse 200m schedule.

My chances at finishing in the top 30 out of 198 participants (by the way, were there not 198 participants last year?) are increasing. My top sub--team "quarto" is going to participate in the 1500--meter race. Yelena Zdrohznaya will be joined by her countrywomen Olga Yegorova, on my fantasy team, and Natalya Yevdokimova, not on my fantasy team. There will be three Polish women of whom two are on my team: Lidia Chojecka -- Okninska and Jakubczak.

Results are in:

http://run-down.com/fantasy/index.php?go=full_results

No movement in the top 10. Pretty dismal meet overall, I'd have to say. My team's brutal showing only lost me two places, so that's good...

I picked up less than 40 points this meet. Now Micah is less than 20 points away. Surprised

I knew that 900 point gap ahead of you would be a steep challenge...
