I'd guess around 700. I'm not sure that'll be enough to move up this meet, as a lot of the better rosters are looking at 1,000+

Dan

100 m: Asafa Powell
200 m: John Capel
800 m: Wilfred Bungei
1500 m: Lidia Chojecka
High Jump: Hestrie Cloete
400 m: Sanya Richards

___I agree, but let me be optimistic:
100 m: Powell wins and runs very fast: 165 points or so;
200 m: Capel does the same: 165 points or so;
800 m: Bungei does the same: 165 points or so;
-- so far 495 points;
1500 m: Chojecka ends second: 135 points or so;
495 + 135 = 500 + 130 = 630 so far;
High Jump: Cloete wins in a great style: 180 points;
630 + 180 = 700 + 110 = 810
With Richards points, I may get around 900 points, if I am lucky.

I estimated Capel's points at about 115 less...

800m - Krummenacker
1500m - Willis, Ngeny, Sullivan

100m - Williams, Gevaert
400m - Guevara, Richards, Amertil
1500m - Sacramento

Does anyone believe that some of the times in Zurich will be affected by the usual notorious headwinds? The competitiors (in the sprints) were quite lucky as the wind was following, but other than that the headwind has often affected the times.

I hope that is not the case as I would like to see something fast put down before the Olympics, but that doesn't seem probable at the moment.

A headwind never helps...

Looking through today's start lists/results links, it appears I lost Capel in the 200 and L. Williams in the 100, but added Trotter in the 400. You hate to see points slipping away before the meet even starts...

Forgive me if this subject has already been approached, but according to the IAAF startlists for Zurich, Bolt appears to have pulled out of the Men's 200m.

Are these startlists old or is does this confirm that Bolt is indeed not runnign tonite?

Thanks Dan...

By the way without 'rubbing it in', what is the coverage of International Track and Field meets (other than the OG and the WC) like in the US?

Here in Britain the coverage is good, we get all of the Golden League meets broadcast live on 'Sky Sports' and we have some IAAF Grand Prix and Super Grand Prix meets broadcast live on 'Eurosport'. I am grateful for the coverage, it's just a shame about some the commentators!!! Thank the heavens for the 'mute button'!!!

Has anyone heard that Abelge... whatever her name is if she is running?

Also for those that Hvae Krumm - he is in the B race - I think you had to go under 1:44 this season to get in the A - insane race

Also the cool thing about the womens 1500 for those in the USA Suzy, Carrie, Amy and Jen all on the line for the womens 1500... so OT part II

She hasn't been listed since the early lists...

Coverage in the US? Hah, that's a joke. Some meets are shown, but usually a day or week later if at all.

Not looking good for K'nacker getting his first points of the season, managing only 7th place in the B race.

I can't believe Sonia O'Sullivan got 3rd in the 3k. She was I think the last scratch from my roster... Seemed like a good price, but I had doubts if she would score.
