I lost Ramzi in the 1500. Leaves me with a pretty sparse crew for the 2nd straight week... They did have some rather hefty fields announced previously. Maybe they were doing a tentative/final type of declaration list? Odd.

I'm glad he's not on mine since I see his achilles injury has flared up and he's pulled out of Lausanne. Will he start again before Athens?? _________________ GT in Oz |

Ooh, I didn't know he's injured. That really opens things up in the distance ranks, both in terms of actual competition and the potential for bigger points for other Fantasy athletes.
He should give me a call. I'm apparently one of the few people to overcome an achilles injury, and I actually PR'd a week after coming back...

I thought this meet would take big points to move up, but it's starting to look like it won't be much different than Athens. Your group may not slip all that much, if at all. I only scored 300 points at Athens and moved up 6 spots. 300 is easily accounted for by 2 decent placing athletes.

I'm pretty sure the scores will be better than Athens in general. I have 6 athletes competing, and most of them should place well. I'm not sure it will be enough to move up in the rankings, though |

6 is better than what a lot of people are reporting. I have no idea what the average is, though. Too time consuming to go through other peoples' rosters...
If the athletes are solid, I generally figure 120-150 points a piece. That puts you around 800 points, which I think will be pretty good for this meet.

Yeah, lots of lost points for lots of people...
Results are posted now:
http://run-down.com/fantasy/index.php?go=full_results
Massive jump by Thorsteinn atop the leader board, but a lot of people stayed more or less in place with minimal point swings, as expected. Conway and Andre S. continue to move up ~20 spots per meet, and Micah and Adam join in on the trend... Paul, um, has some work to do...
I managed to only lose 2 spots despite having only 4 athletes. 53% of my points are from Zakari, Thomas, and Powell in the men's 100.

Wow ... I'm almost in contention ... Not sure any of the guys at the very top (say top 10) are going to falter much though ... But if I can get a couple of meets with the right sprint fields, I could get there !!!! _________________ Conway

I'm back in the top 10 , but at the same time I'm losing points on the leaders big time Still hoping some of my athletes start competing soon... It will be hard to move up in the rankings, though. |
