I have been running...to and fro the pool at Elizabet H.S. They re--opened it for the late Fall.
Laughing

I have been running; I was not measuring distance, but on average, I would spend 28 to 32 minutes running at about 70 to 80% pace with some portions at 85 to 90% effort.

Still trying to get back into a running mindset:
two days ago 3.7 miles in 34 minutes.

Back on roads and track: I have been running -- very slowly, tough!

I have run most of the days this month.
I have been losing some lbs and I dipped for the 1000th time in my live under 8 minutes for a mile.
My goal was always sub 18 minutes 5K as I was able to do a long long time ago (and better).
In the military running was only one of dozens of events that you must get great at to survive; so I did run 6 minutes mile, unofficially, and a sub 21 minutes 5K, but could not get better than that.

...so far, I have participated 3 times; 2nd time I was forced to walk last half--a--mile.
Last year, after 2 months of practice:
"11.Robert Kolakowski Elizabeth,NJ 36 M U 15:28.59 7:44 10/25 M35-39:1/3 53.15 "
source compuscore.com
This was certainly not even close to my best.
Yesterday I did half--an--hour run.

Today, I did
14 x 200 m each in>=50s with >=50s intervals in between!

To me Yasso--method will work for any distance in between 1500m and 50K (1 mile and 31 miles) beacuse it is based on a very simple idea: running just above the race pace while staying tired like if during the race!

7 miles – 4 days
3 miles – 3 days
2 miles – 1 day
2.5 miles –1 day
1.5 miles + 1 mile, - 1 day, was the worst! I drank three ˝ quart bottles of water before the run and ˝ of such a bottle during the run; the rest, I used to cool off my body.
I tried to run at 6 p.m. I made it in the Warinanco Park in Roselle/Elizabeth, NJ, from the chosen parking sign at the parking by the track to the bathroom. After I poured water all over me, I tried to run back another mile, but half—the—way through it, I was walking and experiencing imbalance, I barely could keep on walking straight; some people probably assumed that I was drunk!
One might ask: “How did you expect to survive in the desert when you were in the Army?” To be honest I hoped that either a miracle would happen and I would be able to or that I would be one of the very lucky ones who do to incapability to adjust to the climate do suffer heart attack, but do not die.
With the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the only way to get hot weather profile is to die or nearly die. You must suffer a heart attack or stroke.
Later I ran 1 mile at 2200 or 10 p.m.
Nota bene: Europeans do not say 2200, they say “22.”

I have no idea. I'm guessing he grew tired of carrying on the joke about his supposed times.

I would not be so rush to judge him Wink ; I think he has been working out too hard! And eventually, instead of getting better, he started getting worse!
Sad
Somebody did find his official times; so, if you or I can look them up, you or I can say wheather his practice times were real or fake.
