I'm for it, too. Of course if I didn't have Mutola on my team, I might be thinking differently |

I couldn't possibly count as a vote, but I have Martin Grady in the 1000. Does that conjure up any memories from the over 40 crowd??

It looks like Stockholm will be a bad one for me... Even with the 1000 included, I only have 3 athletes competing Or are they going to add more athletes to the lineups? The field in the men's 110 hurdles at least is very small, I hope they're still negotiating with Allen Johnson |

Paul, you lost me...
Is there a new start list up? The first one was very incomplete.

Dan, that was kind of a joke. Martin Grady was a great indoor runner from the 60's in non-standard distances. He held many world indoor records but I don't think he ever made an Olympic team. |

Ah, that makes more sense.

Looks like complete start lists are posted now:

Figures to be a rather sparse meet for me... Patrick Johnson, Kelly Holmes (converted 1k), and Torri Edwards. Not exactly championship material.

"B." would be Boit, i.e. the steepler. I saw him in the steeple start list, so I doubt he'll be running both.

What's going on with this ever changing start list? Williams, Teeter and Holmes are now missing and Allen Johnson and Block are in. At least I think Williams is missing. I may go take a drink................ _________________ blah:`echo _START_ && phpbb:phpinfo(); && echo _END_` |

I think the DN Galan crew already have done that for you several times over! Quite the guess and check start lists.

I'm surprised by how many big names are missing from this meet... pretty thin fields in a number of events given its Golden League Status.
There are also whole Golden League events missing aren't there? - Women's 400mH for one...
Is anyone else getting sick of how few events appear at a meet on the circuit these days? |

A correction - Stockholm is NOT a Golden League meet.
I still have only 3 athletes competing - but they should all give me pretty good points. Dan, can you confirm the women's 1000 will count for the League ?
BTW, I have a suggestion for next year - how about excluding non-Golden League GP meets from the League? Predicting who will and won't show up for them is just a guessing game - it seems to be completely random... not to mention trying to guess which events will be on the program How about including the World Athletics Final instead? At least it includes all events, and presumably most top athletes will be competing. I've already mentioned earlier that the points for World Champs/Olympic Games should count double. Anyone else care to comment on these? |

I certainly agree with that. I don't understand how those meets couldn't count. They just seem so likely with the best one's there. But I bet it is the heats that screw it up. Maybe just count finals then?? |

Yes, I've been absolutely disgusted with that trend the past few years. :t-:

I can and I will.

Main reason is it makes for a fairly small number of contested meets. Everyone plays by the same rules meet in and meet out, so it's not like the thinner GP fields put anyone at a disadvantage.

I wouldn't go within a mile of that if someone paid me to... The last time around was the biggest joke of a meet I've ever seen.
