Heh, I was just popping in to post a thread with the same title. Smile

Here's the schedule, but I don't see any mention of who's competing:

http://www.goldengala.it/showquestioneng.php?faq=6&fldAuto=18

Maybe on the IAAF site?

I'm not sure if and when I'll be able to get results up for the Golden Gala. I'll most likely be heading out on the 10th for vacation and will be spending much of the 11th on the road, so assuming I'm able to get it done while I'm gone, it probably won't be the most timely.

Not exactly a start list, but here's some info on the highlight participants:

Much, if not all, of that article was written prior to the Paris GP, so it was probably written before the announcement that P-Block would miss a month or more.

Hi guys!!

I'm at Quantico and have been real busy getting settled so this is the first time I've checked in lately. I can't believe The Fighting Warthogs are in the top 50. This is good stuff. Conway is looking great. And Dan is looking....well Dan is looking. Wink

Guevera has hurt me just like the rest of you and now P-Block will hurt too. But Johnson and Kipketer in the 5K have turned out to be my big guns.

I'm headed to the Rambling Runners now to post TWO race reports. That's right sports fans the fat old man is racing again. BTW, the fat old man has dropped from 210 to 187. Very Happy

...and the younger fat man has dropped from about 235 a couple months ago to 225. I got back on the blood-type diet, I try not to over-eat, and got rid-off corn products, except for popcorn in the movies.

I have Guevera, too, and I would have loved to reallocate some of those points.

Still holding on in 2nd, though, and I think most of my team is stiking around.

The Mutola-Cepalak-Cummins strategy has really paid off so far. I would have taken Graf but I wanted Cummins (gotta have a couple Canadians to cheer for, right?)

Here is a link to the current start list:

http://www.goldengala.it/files/ListePartecipanti.htm

I think I got 9 competing - unless they suddenly vanish like my Paris starters did..

Wyz, I missed your post earlier... Amazing that the one person on your roster yet to have scored would be Guevara. Me, only 6 of my 14 athletes have scored points...

Thanks for the link to the start lists. Looks like a pretty ho-hum lineup for me: Patrick Johnson, Derek Miles, Kelli White, Torri Edwards. Basically the same as last week, sans a rather disappointing Angela Williams.

...I hope not to fall down in the ranking.
__Only Green, Johson, and Bucher will attempt to score points for my virtual team.

Those 3 should account for 500 points, so I doubt you'll slip.

Well looks like I will have another 7 representing me in Rome:

Greene
Johnson
Wade
Arron
White
Graf
Bergquist

Hopefully I can get about 3 wins out of this group plus some high placings ... MO has yet to win ... Would be a nice bonus for him to pick up one ... Same for Graf ... I would expect Johnson, Bergquist, and either White or Arron ...

Maybe I can get closer to the top 10 !!!!

Wade did nothing last week. Assuming that was just a bad race that he'll bounce back from and not an injury of some sort, then that group should do very well. I'd guess you'll move up another 10 spots or so.

Interesting that you've got so many athletes doing well who were on my roster last year (Johnson, Wade, Graf)...

Well ... I looked at the"speed events" ... Eliminated distances and field events ... And looked at athletes that like to run a lot ... Or at least my best guesses at those things ... Rolling Eyes
