Hmm, I just noticed the article on the right side of the Paris site, saying P-Block is out for at least a month with a back injury. Not good for those that selected her, but excellent news for my women's 100m-heavy squad. Neutral

I'm glad about Mutola running, but now I lost Bungei and Bergqvist (who were both previously on the entry lists) Sad

One step forward, two steps back...

I hate to ask this again, but have you seen Paris start times? Smile

I hate to give the same answer as last time, but it's true Laughing : The page you gave a link to has the start times for every event (on the left) - same format as in Lausanne (20h00 means 20:00)

Hmm, I'm feeling increasingly dumb... I was looking all over the page in the start lists area, but didn't notice it plain as day on the event schedule. Embarassed

Quite a few of the results are in. Hopes of Patrick Johnson mixing it up with the big boys look to have been just that -- hope. Derek Miles continues to be my big dog. Good thing I had insider information on that pick. Wink

That must've been one heckuva 5k!

___It is a bad news in my case Sad. However, it gives me hope that in the second half of the competition I will do better than in the first half. Smile

I'm pretty happy with my team's performance tonight. I didn't have as many athletes competing as some other people (I had 7), but at least all of them scored, and five of them were either 1st or 2nd. I hope I'll stay in the top 10 after this meet Rolling Eyes

Results are posted:

Sheesh, could my quest to crack the top 100 be any more suspenseful??? The good news is, I've scored more with each successive meet.

Conway, 27th and climbing! Thumbs Up Micah officially in the top 50 now, too.

Pawel, you held serve at #8, not bad for a light showing.

The early rabbit has slipped to 3rd...

___I think that he is doing as expected. I think that he and his coach planned that he will peek twice during the season. After the first peek, he relaxed a little. The second peek should happen around the world championships. I believe that he will be more consistent than Shirvingtton has been. The bottom line is that he places in the top 8.

That was a fast, and quality, 5K. Chebii kicked some major Prefontaine butt, covering the last 400 meters in a stunning 52 seconds. Exclamation Exclamation Surprised Very Happy
I was there. His stride turnover was something to watch. Could be an interesting race come WC time. And could be putting ElG on notice that there is going to be some pain if he is thinking of doubling.

Yeah, but not all plans are good plans. Neutral Still, I'm scoring more with each meet, so I liken my team to a snowball rolling down a hill, getting bigger and gaining momentum... Considering I've got the likes of Kipketer, Guevara, and Ayhan yet to score a point, things can certainly get better. My biggest regret is passing on the hurdlers this year. They (Johnson and Wade) were among my best selections last year, but for some reason, I didn't see it being the case again this year... Oops!

By the way, anyone know if Wade got hurt yesterday in Paris?
