http://www.athletissima.ch/epreuves.html

Doesn't appear to be an English page link anywhere on there, but click on Hommes and Femmes for the men's and women's start lists. Looks like that page will also contain results links.

Those start lists are pretty full already, but I'll be praying for a few additions -- it looks like I only have 3 women and 0 men entered. Neutral

I really need to start accumulating some points, otherwise I'll look rather foolish talking trash... Any word on why Wilson Kipketer is yet to suit up? He ran earlier this year, didn't he?

Well I only have 3 in this one. But they are Allen Johnson, Trammell and Kipketer so I should score points.

___I believe that I will regain my place in the top 50. The team New Jersey (used to be Brothers of Metal), if I remember correctly, will be represented by:
Tim Lobinger,
Tim Montgommery,
Maurice Green,
and Bucher,
if not more.

That should be some decent points, although I would bet against both Tim and Maurice running unless the organizers decide to go with separate heats.

___Let see how well can they fake injury?_ Very Happy
___It is possible that IAAF wants to stage the battle of giants. If it so, then they have to script it, but not over-script it.
___They have to meet in three events. The first two should be won by Slim Tim, and the last by Great M.
___This would let track and field junkies really get exited verbally assaulting each other.
___First the Slim's "passy" would chace away the Great M's hussy saying that Slim Tim has become dominant.
___Later, after Great M's victory, his followers would herald that he is back.
___Finally, both sides would step-down into the trenches and enjoy the uneasy waiting time not unlike the French and the German during the Second World War.
___Soon after the last climactic battle, many combatants would start working on mending the fences with the neighbors at whom they fired potshots.
___"SCOOTER CONTINUOUS"

Tim v Mo is a WC race only at this point ... I will be VERY surprised if they line up before then ... Both have TOO much to lose at this point - primarily mental edge ... Neither can afford to lose to the other before the big race ... My money says separate heats or one or the other or both don't run ....

I need to fire Sad Nagel. Just today in Poznan, Poland, he finished dead last:

200 m men/mezczyzn (Wind: +0.1 m/s)
1 Frank FREDERICKS 67 NAMIBIA 20.26
2 Shawn CRAWFORD 78 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 20.39
3 Marcin JEDRUSINSKI 81 Olimpia Poznan 20.44 SB
4 Ricardo WILLIAMS 76 JAMAICA 20.69
5 Marcin URBAS 76 AZS-AWF Krakow 20.74
6 Jaroslaw KULESZA 77 CANADA 21.41
7 Tomasz KONDRATOWICZ 79 Olimpia Poznan 21.46
8 Morne NAGEL 78 SOUTH AFRICA 22.49

The time that he clocked is even worse than the dead last place.
___I hope that Patrick Johnson, the Australian 10s over 100 m barrier breaker, will perform often and better.
___My only two wild cards are not performing (too well).

An athlete of that caliber doesn't run 22.5 unless something went wrong, such as a pulled muscle or slipped blocks...

If so I think that will be a key race in judging his odds in Paris in August ... A good, fast race will bode well for his chances ...

Patrick Johnson's on the start lists for both Paris-St Denis and Rome in the next week or so. I reckon by Rome he'll take his national record and threaten the world mark. That should be good points!

GT

PS - Good Fantasising so far Andre, but I'll take you next week! Wink
