16.Robert Kolakowski Elizabeth,NJ 30 M U 15:11 7:36 12/25 M30-34:2/3 53.4% N/A

__It was a nice cool windy day (45 F). There were some good looking ladies, and some fast kids. I could not believe a kid, 12 to 14 years old, who just 10 minutes after finishing the 1 mile race, unofficially entered the 2 miles race, and finished sixth in under 13 minutes.

___I did well, but not as well as I could have. Wisely, I did not lineup in the first row. However, for the first 400 m I tried to keep-up with the lead group. It left me breathless. I was passed by about six runners. I regained some composure during the last half-a-mile, and was able to pass one of the runners who had passed me within the first mile, but I was forced to sprint to the finish by two other runners pushing from behind. One finished just a second in front of me (I lock guts, I guess), the other finished a split of a second behind me.

___If not the mistake or error early on, I think that I could have run in about 14:30 or 14:40. Running in Weequahic, Newark, and Warinanco, Elizabeth/Rosselle, New Jersey, USA, I got used to running on 'mondo.' The hard asphalt surface did not help.

It sounds like you are getting it dones!! Sometimes those young kids amaze you. My son does not run at all. He plays baseball, football, and basketball however. As a 9 year old on Thanksgiving he ran a 2 miler in 15:12 with no training, and followed that up 2 weeks ago (once basketball was over) with a 26:01 5K! Those little legs are sometimes full of so much energy.

I believe you. When I was fifteen, it all was so easy. It took only a day or a couple to come back from an injury Surprised Very Happy
It is going to take me a long time to be able to run as well as when I was fifteen.

I think it takes me about the same time to recover from my long runs, as it used to take to recover from the injuries of my youth!!

___Grown people are not supposed to grow taller, but under special circumstances they may. Let just say that I am not supposed to talk about at least part of it. It has gone on for the last eight years -- the real deal, and the garbage men deal has gone on for the last 25 months since April 1, 2002.
___I am not in a pleasant situation. I have been bailed-out twice by a fed at my home street (3 local law enforcement in two cars with lights shut off -- reportedly they were officially sick for the next 3 working or five days), and coming back home with my wife from Roselle, NJ, on Westfield Avenue (sheriff's deputy was intercepted by a fed about two weeks ago -- reportedly, he ended up in Trinitas at South Broad Street). However, how closely my situation is monitored by certain people within the federal government, I, honestly, do not know.
___I did a job for them on Thursday or Friday between 9 PM and 10 PM, but as long as anyone is going to take me seriously I cannot talk about it. I already said almost too much to too many people.
___If I stop posting it is not going to be an accident. Remember me and my family:

Just yesterday, I got my track 1600 m just under 7 minutes or under 6:59. A few days ago, I ran 3 x WeeQuaHic Park/Lake/Jogger's Path in Newark, New Jersey in 57:16 (3 x 3.5 K+ or nearly 10.6 K).
I am trying to figure out a way of striking from behind at the top three USATF-NJ members in the New Balance NJ Grand Prix (to lookup the rules of Grand Prix, Grand Prix I, and Grand Prix II go to http://www.usatfnj.org ).

Splits:
1 K 4:43 to 4:44
3.5 K+ >18 minutes
7.0 K+ > 39 minutes
10 K+> 54:45
10.5 K+ > 57:16.

It is kind of ironic that you broke 7:00 yesterday. That is very similar to my workout yesterday. As part of my new speed work I ran 3 - 1600's on the local track with jogging 800 between. I maintained really well through the first two and then died on the third. 6:46, 6:58, 7:43.
