Of course I did not consult anything except a brief glance at IAAF rankings. But I never do anyway so why change now? This year's mad method originally was to build the team with athletes only from the old Soviet Union. Why? I don't know....maybe it's just wondering how that style team would stand up to today's competition.
The problem of course is that even though the women had lots of worthy selections the men had very few. So I wound up with a mix and match team with lots of eastern women and western men. Kinda sounds like one of those naughty websites.
