Almost time for the BIG DANCE ... The meet that should separate the contenders and the pretenders ... Everyone of note should be here ...

I think I have 4 potential champions plus some finalists (potential medalists) ... If I can get half my squad to score - look out !!!

I've got a few people like Crawford in the 100 and Mutola in the 800 that have been very silent on the circuit but are hopefully gearing up for Worlds... I imagine most people have a few examples like that on their roster, so there should be some big scores this meet.

This one will probably be tough for me to move up in. Although a lot of mine should be there, they probably won't be placing in the top 3 with the level of competition. So I am just hoping to maintain and then move up in some later meets.

If "Chapee" Pawel Czapiewski will win a surprise medal, I shall be OK. He got the standard A on the very last day by the 1/100th of a second. He ran in his usual fashion that is similar to the way that an American (USA) athlete used to run during the 1970's. He stays in the back of the pack, and makes a mad dash over the last 250 meters. He did it. They captured a nice picture of his; his eyes are popping out. He looks like a desperate cross between a “Voo Doo” doll, and a mad man.
