If the 2004 season is going to kick off with Bislett we better hurry, the first take on the startlists for this meet are up:

I know, I need to get rolling... With how soon the first meet is and the other stuff I've got going on (and my lack of motivation), I'm thinking it'll probably be dropped from the schedule and replaced with something more central to the core date range for other meets. Gives me another month to procrastinate...

C'mon, Dan, we're all counting on you ! Putting it off won't make the participation any better. And I was starting to look forward to making my team selection soon... Confused

Get more people beating down my door and I'll be more compelled...

It's quite a bit of work regardless of how many participate. Justifying it for half a dozen responses is extremely difficult.

Well that and quite frankly I'm thinking we need to start a bit later than in the past, just to get a feel for who IS competing prior to setting up teams !!!! Let a meet or two go by ...

That makes a good deal of sense. There's a big gap in the schedule after the first meet we had planned on, which could provide the time to see what's going on.

Exactly ... Not sure there is any reason to rush things ... I think that has made it a bit rougher in the past anyway ...

Possibly, but it's just as rough for everyone.

When I first checked the list of events for this years competition, it hadn't been updated since 2003, so it looked as though the Bislett Games was going to be the first competition.... but now I see it's starting a bit later, which is good. I'm actually going to be at the Rome Golden Gala meet, which will make it that bit more exciting!!

Might go back and edit some of my entries now...

Yeah, 6/11 was too tight to get everything set up, plus it left a big gap in the schedule after the opening meet.

I trust you'll provide a full report of the meet when you get back! Smile
