I am a freshman in college, ran XC, indoor, and outdoor for the first two years of HS and then one season junior year. (Senior year the humidity and heat of my new home tried to kill me so I became a couch potato.) I've recently started running again and have come across a problem I never experienced before. About two hours after I run, I get -horrid- diarrhea. If it doesn't quit soon I'm going to quit running...nothing is worth this. If anyone has -any- ideas on the cause or getting rid of it, I'd be ever so grateful. And sorry for posting anonymously, but this was one question I didn't want to broadcast to the world with my name plastered on it. Thanks in advance for your help.

I had much the same issue ... and it was dehydration. Try drinking more H20 before, during and after your runs. Good luck!

Yes, it is dehydration. One time I drank two Pepsi's about an hour before I ran, and right after I was done with my run, I had the worst diahrea. I learned my lesson though. Diahrea is caused by dehydration. When you are done running, chug at least 16 ounces of water in a 10 minute period.
