I need 8k-10k distance training tips. I know all about the 5k but need help with the longer distances. Any suggestions?

What are you currently doing? There shouldn't need to be a big difference in training approach between 5k and 8-10k.

When I am training for a 10k I tend to concentrate more on improving my lactic threshold. I will do an extra LT workout each week. I also add to the length of my long run. You need a stronger aerobic base for the 10k. A weekly 16 miler does wonders.

currently I am doing up to six miles a singlr run. MW mile repeats and fartlicks. 3-4 mile repeats. farlicks would last to about 30 minutes. T Th would be double day running.

Six miles is probably a bit too short for long runs when training for anything 5k and up. I would recommend a 10+ miler a week, combined with the longer interval stuff you are currently doing. Consider that a 10k is 6.25 miles -- you definitely want your long runs to be longer than your race distance.
