Speaking of which, I'm headed over "there" shortly...

Ouch. Let's hope he's in a serious training phase... But if that's the case, lacing up the spikes would make very little sense.

Even for athletes the caliber of Webb I think every so often you need to get into a race even if you're not at your absolute best. Now you don't want to do it very often if your not at peak condition but a race like this is a barometer that you can't get in training. Although his time does explain why he wan't at the Milrose games. And of coarse if he's gearing to peak once for the US and World championships later this year then I suppose that a 1:52 doesn't spell the end of the world.

What the heck brand of shoes is Webb wearing on the cover!! They don't look like Nike's, they almost look like Asics.

That could certainly explain things... Surprised

Interesting article...now lets see what he does today at the Armory. I wish him well because I think it could be good for US track. BTW, will he be a fantasy choice this year?

He seems like a genuinely nice guy, hard worker, and phenomenal talent, so it's hard but to wish for the best for him...

I haven't looked closely at the IAAF lists yet, but he may well be un-listed in the top 100 with last year's times. I'll go add his name to the "special" list in the Fantasy forum, thanks.

Well, Webb ran a 3:59 and change and took 3rd. Not real bad and not real good. I'll say the jury is still out and let's be patient.

For the mile, I assume (and hope)?

I did in fact mean the mile. If my correspondence seems to lack clarity it could be due to the amount of Bombay gin I mixed with the tonic this afternoon. Confused

But it did seem to enhance the grilled salmon, sauteed crab cakes and ceasar salad. Very Happy

I may now need a nap.

Hey, anything you can do to enhance a salad...
